PHD is exactly what it sounds like - 
An event to Develop Performance Horses and Riders. 

 PHD consists of 12 progressive levels of patterns, allowing riders and horses to develop skills as they compete.
Each of the 12 levels requires maneuvers that when done properly will build the foundation training needed to learn the maneuvers in the next level.
